More About the Friends

The Friends were founded in 2018 to try and ensure that the Guildhall is maintained as a public building. They obtained Charitable Incorporated status in 2019. The building needs considerable annual expenditure. The interior has been reasonably well maintained although some remedial work is needed. The Council has agreed to maintain the exterior but for how long remains to be seen. If like us you believe it should remain looked after and used for and by the people of the Borough, please consider joining us.
